Sheep classing workshop – sheep connect

Upcoming sheep classing and selection workshop

The Stud Merino Breeders Association of Tasmania, in association with Australian Wool Innovation (AWI), will be holding a sheep classing and selection workshop at the Beaufront shearing shed, at 395 Tooms Lake Road, Ross, on Tuesday 5 February.

The workshop will run from 9:30am – 3:00pm, and will be delivered by Stuart Hodgson, a well-known and respected sheep classer who now works for AWI and has conducted similar workshops throughout Australia.

The informative day will provide skills, hints, and tips for those involved, or wishing to be involved in Merino sheep classing and selection, and will include hands-on classing of 200 Merino ewes.

The workshop is free, and a BBQ lunch, and morning and afternoon tea will be provided.

Places are limited, so to register, please contact Helen Clark at, or on (03) 6254 7198.
